I just found out about winmx going down, and unfortunately uninstalled mine before I also found out about this patch on the link provided that can help users reconnect again. So, at this point, I'm not going to be able to try that again and would like to know if there's anything else out there I could at least temporarily use until winmx gets back on its feet again.
I've already tried gnucleus, and discovered I'm not completely satisfied with it, and my DC++ no longer seems to want to work, so if anyone knows of anything else, Please let me know, and I'll at least check them out.
use bittorrent you download the client at www.bittorrent.com and go to sites like torrentspy.com, torrentreactor.net or btjunkie.com and type in the search the music or content you are looking for, and they will probably have it. most likely at btjunkie.com than anywhere else, because it is a bittorrent site crawler.
I currently download those, but I use the ABC client. Would I be able to use that same client on those sites?
Or would I have to use Bit-torrent?
Yeah, ABC will work just fine. Here's my issue with torrent crawlers like the one mentioned here. Sometimes, torrents are submited on there, but the tracker it is using will not allow you to download a file unless u have an account with that tracker, but I guess that's just one of the few disadvantages.
Is there any particular time that's best to try to sign up with btjunkie.com? I keep trying to sign up with them, and get told their user limit has been reached.
Then when I am actually able to get through, fill out the form, and try to sign up, I get an error message and am told again that the amount of users has been reached, and to try back later.
